My Projects

This is a collection of my most recent works as well as some of my favorite projects!
data_analysis

Arlington 2050 Data Analysis

The Arlington 2050 project is a year-long initiative that strives to get community feedback on what Arlington should look like in 2050 and the challenges we must address to get there. We were tasked with analyzing data from handwritten postcards, which included organizing them into location specific DataFrames, running spell check programs, and analyzing them in a multitude of ways.
BigInt_Header

BigInt Test-Driven Development

Developed a C++ BigInt library using Test-Driven Development to handle large integers without limit. Implemented comparison operators and perform standard arithmetic operations.
PyCon_2024

PyCon Blog & NASA App

Collaborated with a team to design and develop a Python based application which transformed thousands of lunar terrain data points into interactive 3D visualizations using the Ursina Game Engine.
PyCon_2024

Javascript Love Bear!

Designed and developed an interactive JavaScript game featuring yes-or-no questions—when users click 'Yes,' a new image appears; when they click 'No,' the button playfully evades their cursor.

Coming Soon!

Helped build and design multiple Django web apps to help and benefit my community!

My Experience

This is some of my experience, in school and outside of school!

NASA ADC Club

Led and founded a diverse group of majority women to accomplish a goal of visualizing lunar terrain data using python.
We built a app for a 3D visualization of thousands of lunar terrain data points (latitude/longitude). We then converted data into Cartesian coordinates, transforming them into PNG formats, loading them into Ursina Game Engine for dynamic rendering. Additionally, we fundraised over $4,000 to support club activities and to fund a trip to PyCon US 2024. Lastly, we were given the opportunity to presented our application at a national python conference in Pittsburgh, PyCon 2024.

Django Girls

Led and founded an all women tech organization, developing Django projects and networking with industry leaders.
Taught Django to high school girls, fostering their interest in web development. Went on to secure a $7,000 grant from Amazon to support club activities and fund a trip to the 2025 PyCon US Conference. We developed a web application for spa reservations for the school's cosmetology class. Lastly, created a web application for the "Off The Pike" food truck, streamlining online order placement.

Kits For Kids

Handled expenses from fundraising, donations, and purchases, while working directly with the schools treasure and other activity coordinators.
Helped plan and participated in multiple fundraisers, as well as organized the funds after to purchase toys. Additionally, we donated over $400 of toys to the oncology unit at the National Children's Hospital in D.C.

NOVA Web Development

Developer within a worker-owned tech co-op offering human-centered, open-source web development for nonprofits, communities, and local businesses.
I have collaborated closely with Liberian web developers to connect them with clients and support their efforts to reach a sustainable income level, empowering them to earn a fair wage through meaningful web development work. Additionally, I developed websites/web apps using Django, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to deliver engaging and functional web experiences.

Haute Dogs and Fries

Cashier at a women-owned local restaurant, blending warm service with support for community-focused small business.
Greeted customers in a friendly manner when they entered the restaurant, took on cleaning duties, made food for customers, and handled finances.
